Beau Babics is an American cinematographer raised in Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. Beau’s love of filmmaking started in sophomore year of high school when his parents lent him their video camera so he could make short films: he was hooked. Beau now attends the University of Tampa where he is earning a BFA in Film and Media Arts. He specializes in camera operation and gaffing and is trained on the Sony FX9, RED Scarlet-W, and Steadicam A30. His expertise has helped him earn five Black Box Film Festival wins including Best Narrative Picture and Best Cinematography for his films “Past Self” and “Breathe”. For professional work, he is open to creating narrative, documentary, and commercial works, as well as music videos.
